Tortola is the
main island in the British Virgin Islands, with a population
of just over 17,000. The capital is Road Town, and there are many
fun-filled events and attractions for vacationers to enjoy, both
on Tortola and throughout the BVI.
BVI Summer Festival
Held end of July to early August
Road Town on Tortola is the main location for Summer Festival
activities. The festival marks the emancipation of the BVI's slaves
and lasts for a full two weeks of music and celebration.
BVI Music Festival
Held May 28 to 30
This year the 4th annual music festival is held in Cane Garden
Bay and showcases Caribbean music, including many top acts from

Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival
Held end of March to early April
This event includes a week of great sailing and festivities as
well as a weekend of racing. This year over one hundred boats

HIHO Races
Held in late June or early July
This windsurfing competition lasts for seven days and attracts
